Car accident procedures

KUWAIT CAR ACCIDENT PROCEDURES

Case:
A car hits my car from behind. His car is full party insured and my car is on third party insurance.

1. Both parties, go to the nearest police station you had the accident. File a written complaint and you will be given a white paper (Case Evidence)

2. Go to the other person's insurance company and show this paper. The investigator will take photos of your car and determine an estimated value for the repairs. You will receive the final copy of the estimates.

3. Get your car repaired. Retain all the garage and spare parts bill with you.

4. The investigation office will take time to get your papers ready from the court. I had to go to Dasman Criminal Investigation Center, opposite Holiday Inn, Sharq - 1st floor. It took 7 months for the court paper to reach here. You will get a paper on which you have to affix 0.500 fils stamp and get all the necessary signing and stamping from the office. Keep change with you as the officers will have the stamps with them.

5. Go to Shuwaikh Traffic Department, the one after National Guards, 4th ring road. Give the papers (point 4) and they will give you a final confirmation - Quick step

6. Go to your own insurance company and request for 'No Objection Certificate'. They will print and give you right away.  - Quick step

7. Take all the documents you received to the other party's insurance company. The officer there will take your file and inform you the amount to receive.  If your amount is above KD 100, they will issue you a cheque that can be en-cashed in a weeks time; else you will receive your amount on the spot. Please note that the owner of the car has to collect and en-cash cheque.

Physiotherapy in Kuwait

PHYSIOTHERAPY IN KUWAIT

So, initially I went to Razi and met this Doc., by the name Mr. xyz. It was the room way at the end, right side (not the best figure... however, see figure, marked 'X''in red)

He handed me a slip for x-ray (though I already had one done from Amiri). Before exiting the place, at the right side is the counter for stamp. take that and head to the exit and then left for x-ray.

At the X-ray counter, show paper with the stamp and your civil id. You will receive a ticket with the room no. Head to x-ray room based on room no. mentioned on the ticket.

Once the x-ray is done, it will be generated and sent to the respective doc's computer. So, just straight walk back to doctor's room.

He gave me a reference for physio at physical medicine area by the UN circle.

So I went there and made a file. KD 2 stamp. They will refer to a doctor and you wait for your turn.

If you are requested to have a blood test done, this is done outside the OPD building. Just in front of OPD is the Laboratory. Now, before heading there, you need to pay KD 3 to do the test.

To pay this KD 3, you need to head straight down the street. Say if the lab is on your left, you walk right... all the way till you find a block that says financial and stores. Pay KD 3 to one of the ladies in-charge, show your civil ID, get the receipt and head back to the lab. Good walk to and fro.

So, at the lab... Go to blood extraction room. The necessary procedures will be done.

I understand you have to wait for 3 weeks for report. Anyways, the report is normally is attested to your file. So next time you go, the record is there.
